We will make zippered pockets to keep your hands warm. Any sewing machine can make this vest. A Serger isn't necessary but can be used if you want. The whole vest can be done using just a regular sewing machine.

Nip and Tuck, Alter A Commercial Top Pattern

The 411 series on commercial pattern alteration.

Most commercial patterns are created based on an 18 year old's perfect figure. So, any adjustments in size to Simplicty, Butterick, Vogue patterns and the like are based on this foundation. For most of us this just does not work.

Therefore, these two separate classes will teach you to draw outside the lines and create a pattern that fits without altering the intended look.

We will cover upper body configurations (e.g. blouse, darts, sleeves, neckline, shoulders).

This class will consist of two sessions. Come join these classes and learn to:

Cut and paste and make a waist.

Watch and see, you gotta sleeve.

Know the art and move a dart.

Fiddle and futz, there's a lifted buttz.

Teacher: Barbara Behnke

Class Fee: $85.00

2 Sessions
